Changelog items posted today August 16th [Wednesday, August 16, 2006]
The following is the list of all changes to Grayscale CMS since last update:
- Increased the strength of validation on several forms.
- Ordered events by date in the admin area
- If there are no content types to 'relate' a photo to, those columns are removed from the admin area
- Sitemap change: CMS pages were only displaying if they were categorized as 'primary'. Now ALL CMS pages are displaying
- Sitemap change: Now listing gallery categories in sitemap
- Major changes to the events! Now there's a true calendar view available as a configuration option. The 'list' view is still available, and now users can switch between them, too
- Clicking to 'detail' view of an event (in list view) now also contains an anchor link to take you right back to that event.
- Items from the code snippets module were not displaying in the site map
- There was a weird bug with the homepage admin. It was giving a 404 response even though it was obviously there. I removed the /homepage/ directory out of the /admin/cms/ and put it in /admin/ and everything is fine. Weird.
- NEW FEATURE: automatic generation of item keywords whenever new content is added to the site. This new feature strips out the 300 most common words in the English language. It then takes the top ten most used words in your new content and uses them as keywords. Eventually, I will use this to generate the page keywords. This can then also be used by the PHP-Dig search engine we use.
Upcoming Changes
- Configurable Cron-based backup of the site database
- Several small bug repairs (more nuisance than bugs)
