Flexibility of Design

Flexibility of Design

The single most frustrating thing that drove us to create our own Content Management System is the complete lack of flexibility in other systems. While we like and respect the power, quality, and features of the many popular CMS and portal systems out there, they are lacking in one very important area: Flexibility of design.

How Grayscale Content Management System is Different

Other systems become "married" to their template system. Their extensive list of features require a close integration between the "programming logic" and their presentation. Under most circumstances, this is a very good thing - except when it comes to truly making the site yours.

Grayscale CMS was created in a way that allows your site's look and feel to be 100% in your control. This, incidentally, is also why Grayscale CMS is not a free product. Since it doesn't use templates, there are no "skins" available for it. An out-of-the-box installation of Grayscale CMS would be extremely bland.

A Backbone

This divergence from normal CMS thinking is where Grayscale is unique. It isn't a ready-to-go product. It is a backbone with which we build a complete web site. The price you pay when you hire us to make a site isn't just for the CMS, but rather for the complete creation of your web presence - from graphics, to information architecture, to implementation and integration of the CMS into this new design.
